Mother Margaret Moore accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 8 on a Sunday morning and was baptized shortly afterwards. She loved singing and was the Sunday school pianist for her local church as well as the secretary. She worked in the church for many years in various positions.

She was often called upon to speak but would not call herself a missionary. A few years later she answered the call of the Lord upon her life and began to spread “the Word”.

In 1978 after hosting a 2-day mission conference at her local church with Elder J. W. Denny, she decided that she wanted to work in missions. Shortly there after, she attended a Regional Mission Conference in Oakland, CA. where her heart was touched as never before and she worked in the Region for several years. It was from this point that Mother Moore began to work in the International Missions Department under the leadership of Bishop Carlis Moody.

She served as the State Mission Chairlady under the leadership of the late Bishop J. A. Blake and after his demise Bishop C. E. Blake. It was at this time that she became familiar with the foreign mission field while traveling with Elder J. J. Rollins, State Mission President of Southern California 1st Jurisdiction and his mission team.

In May, 1989 Mother Moore was recommended by Bishop Moody & Elder Denny to serve on the International Security Team under the leadership of Bishop A. Z. Hudson. She faithfully served the wives of Presiding Bishop J. O. Patterson, Sr., Presiding Bishop L. H. Ford, and Presiding Bishop C. D. Owens at all International meetings of the Church of God in Christ until 1997 when she felt led to pursue her international ministry.

In 1996 Mother Moore was appointed to the Executive Board of the General Assembly of the Church of God In Christ by Bishop Frank Ellis. She is yet a member of that committee and currently serves on the Certification & Credentials Commission, the Resolutions Committee and the Election Commission.

1999 brought about a drastic turn in Mother Moore's life, as she attended a power packed Mission Conference in the Dominican Republic, where 12 foreign countries were represented. She sang in the choir composed of 4 different languages. During the conference she was introduced to Overseer Victor Sandiford by Supervisor Lee VanZandt and was invited to speak in Trinidad one night during their Women's Convention in May, 2000. In March, of 2000 Overseer Sandiford extended the invitation to Mother Moore to attend the meeting for the whole week. After receiving consent from her pastor she began preparing to attend the meeting.

In April during the Spring Call meeting in Memphis, TN. Overseer Sandiford voiced that the Lord had spoken to him and confirmed that she was to be the Supervisor for the jurisdiction. At that time the Jurisdiction had been without a Supervisor for several years. Once again Mother Moore consulted her pastor and received approval to accept the appointment.

She began her work in Trinidad in May, 2000 during the Annual Women's Convention and was officially appointed by Mother Willie Mae Rivers, General Supervisor of Women on November 10, 2000.

In March, 2002 the General Board sent a committee to Trinidad to reorganize the work and a Board of Directors was appointed. The General Board members on this committee chose to keep Mother Moore as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women. In April, 2003 Dr. Herbert Joseph Griffith was consecrated Jurisdictional Prelate of the jurisdiction and Mother Moore retains the position of Supervisor within this administration.

Mother Moore is indeed a mission worker and has ministered in Mexico, Nassau, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Panama, Central America and is desirous of traveling the length and breath of the globe in ministry.

Mother Moore is currently a member of the Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ in Atlanta, Georgia. She is full time in the ministry and an evangelist at heart and enjoys traveling and conducting revivals, seminars and whatever ministry doors are opened to her. She is a mother and a grandmother and loves her family.
