The Department of Missions continuously and unceasingly prays for our Saints who actively serve America's armed forces during these"perilous times".

Many of us have parents, spouses, children, brothers and sisters, who have committed themselves to a career with our government.

We are assured that our Saints are at all times (regardless of their military or civilian status) boldly witnessing to their identification with the way of Jesus and the gospel of salvation through Christ. Helping rather than hurting, building rather than destroying, and loving rather than killing, done in the name of Jesus Christ, communicate both a biblical faith and commitment to peace and ultimately by modeling love in all relationships

War, just like any other biblical topic, has been subject to various interpretations. Just as there are various interpretations on war in the future (Armageddon), so also, are there various interpretations on war in the present.

The Christian response to war has been a spectrum ranging from absolute rejection of war and participation in war to full participation with the proclamation of divine blessing and authority.

Wars are fought on the battlefields of the globe, but they are waged first in the human heart. It is in this light that we present those affiliated with the Church Of God In Christ who are on the "mission field" first and the "battle field" second.

We ask everyone's continuous and unceasing prayers!

If you have a loved one you would want listed and prayed for, please forward their name (with their official militay title or designation), branch of service, country assigned and jurisdiction affiliated and/or any brief testimonies from your loved one(s) about what the Lord is doing for/through them while in the military, please forward to: rivers@ameritech.net
